Meet Your Trainers

Joshua Faden (he/him/his)
President, Community of Teachers, Kensington, MD 

Joshua Faden is the founder and president of Community of Teachers, an education consulting company focused on helping students become enthusiastic and effective lifelong learners. He believes in the power of a supportive community of parents, caretakers, teachers, and professionals for each student’s success. Joshua offers training, technical assistance, and consultation to strengthen these communities and works one-on-one and in small groups with students globally. Author of “The Confidence Project” and “The Confidence Constellation Activities Handbook,” he enjoys Splotch Monster art and cooking with fresh garden produce.

 

Kevon Lee (he/him/his) 
Empowerment Speaker, Kevon Lee, Kevon Empowers & Group, LLC, Loma Linda, CA

 

Kevon Lee is a National Award-Winning Motivational Speaker who has inspired and empowered over 250,000 individuals across the country. With his captivating presentations and transformative insights, he lights a fire within his audience, motivating them to reach their fullest potential and achieve lasting success. Kevon specializes in empowering at-promise youth, drawing from his extensive experience and studies to provide valuable insights and guidance. Kevon is a recipient of the 30 under 30 award for San Bernardino County for his work in the community, innovative practices, and advocacy. Kevon Lee lives to empower.

 

Jenna Mendez (she/her/hers)
District Foster Youth Liaison, Corona-Norco Unified School District, Corona, CA

 

Jenna Mendez has been a School Counselor for 18 years at Elementary and High School levels providing both guidance and crisis intervention. In that role, she worked with the foster youth and helped to create the All-Stars Foster Youth program on her campus. Currently, she is the CNUSD District Foster Youth Counselor/Liaison, working with the counselors in the district to create a comprehensive TK-12 program. She is also a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), working in private practice with children and teens for the last 10 years. She holds National Board Certification in Counseling and School Counseling.

 

Kimberly Morales

Inclusion Specialist, Woodcraft Rangers, Los Angeles, CA 

Kimberly Morales, brings 6 years of experience working in diverse educational settings, including preschool, middle school, after-school programs, and outdoor learning environments. She holds a BA in Child Development and Family Studies from California State University, Long Beach, and a Certification of Completion in Universal Design for Learning in Environmental Education. Kimberly’s passion for inclusivity is evident in her work as a para educator in a full inclusion middle school and her ongoing efforts to make outdoor spaces at Camp Woodcraft welcoming to all. Her expertise in supporting students with diverse needs ensures that every child feels valued and has access to enriching learning experiences, reflecting her dedication to fostering inclusive environments in all educational settings. 

 

Dr. Sonia M. Toledo (she/her/hers)

Founder & CEO, Dignity of Children, Inc., New York, NY 

 

Dr. Sonia M. Toledo is a seasoned writer, speaker, and social entrepreneur specializing in emotional intelligence training and youth development. She empowers educators to lead with emotional intelligence. Founder of Dignity of Children®, she empowers adults to create emotionally safe environments. Her research, “The Correlation Between Emotional Intelligence and Workplace Stress,” highlights EQ’s role in workplace success. Dr. Toledo’s presentations equip educators with tools for a positive work environment, making her a leading advocate for emotional intelligence and excellence in the field.

 

Saraí Vasquez (she/her/hers)
Apprentice Success Manager, Woodcraft Rangers, Los Angeles, CA

Saraí Vasquez is the Apprentice Success Manager at Woodcraft Rangers, leading a pioneering apprenticeship program for Expanded Learning Professionals in Southern California with East Los Angeles College. With 14 years in the field, she’s dedicated to fostering inclusive communities that support youth’s diverse needs. By advocating for youth and staff, collaborating with leaders, and developing inclusive strategies, Saraí is building a knowledgeable and ready workforce for expanded learning.

 

Dwayne Wiggins, Jr. (he/him/his) 
Director of Culture & Motivational Coach, Belmont Charter High School & A Human. Being!, Philadelphia, PA

 

Dwayne Wiggins, Jr. serves as the Director of Culture at Belmont Charter High School (BCHS) in Philadelphia, PA. He is also the Founding Program Director for IGNITE Before & Afterschool Enrichment at Community Education Alliance at BCHS. He holds a B.S. degree in Entertainment Business and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Full Sail University and is currently a doctoral student pursuing a Ph.D. in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior. With experience in various after-school roles since 2006, Dwayne firmly believes in the potential of individuals to achieve self-improvement, personal development, and self-fulfillment.

Registration is open to attendees from counties within Region 6, including: Amador, Calaveras, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties.

We are unable to accept any registrations after this date. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IN FULL by January 25, 2025, to secure the Legacy Summit Registration rate. Please review additional terms and conditions in your registration account.

Attendees are not able to cancel Legacy Summit registration. ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND NON-REVERSIBLE. Please note we are unable to make exceptions for emergencies, extreme weather, pandemics, natural disasters, or labor strikes. However, attendee may send someone in attendee’s place, subject to these Terms and Conditions.
